Data Collection

Stop Shorts does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The extension operates entirely within your browser.

What the Extension Accesses

YouTube page content: The extension runs a content script on YouTube pages to detect and modify video playback behavior (specifically, preventing Shorts from looping). No page content is read, recorded, or sent anywhere.

Chrome Storage API: The extension stores a single boolean preference (enabled/disabled) using chrome.storage.sync. This value syncs across your Chrome instances via your Google account, using Chrome's built-in sync infrastructure. No other data is stored.

Third-Party Services

Stop Shorts does not communicate with any external servers, APIs, or third-party services.
